VIRTUAL ADVISING NETWORK (V.A.N.)
Do you want to find out where other USC students have studied abroad? Would you like to ask other students with your major which classes they took overseas? Do you want to understand what life abroad is like for an American student? Are you having trouble choosing between countries, cities, or programs or simply curious about studying abroad? If so, then hop on the V.A.N.! The Virtual Advising Network (V.A.N.) is designed to help prospective study abroad participants get in contact with fellow gamecocks who have recently returned from studying overseas. These returnees have volunteered to act as “guides” telling other students what living and studying in other countries is like. The V.A.N. also offers links to USC study abroad students’ blogs while they are overseas. These blogs can provide a glimpse into a day in the life of a USC student abroad.

- View the regions, countries, or cities in which they studied
- Then email volunteers whose majors, study abroad locations and programs interest you!

- Learn how to successfully make the transition from taking classes at USC to taking classes overseas
- Discover cool locations and itineraries other USC students used during their vacations and holidays while studying abroad
