USC students spend Maymester and Summer term overseas

More than 800 USC students from a variety of disciplines will spend their Maymester and Summer breaks overseas. Over 500 of these students will partake in one of 33 USC faculty or staff-led Global Classroom Programs.

Four HESA students will participate in international internships this summer

Four graduate students from the Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) Program will participate in internships abroad during summer 2015. Duncan Culbreth, Joy Mondalto, Michael Tauchar, and Caroline Wallace are completing summer internships in the international offices of USC’s overseas partner universities through the University of South Carolina Study Abroad Office.

Three USC professors accepted to teach abroad

Three USC professors, Dr. Saskia Coenen-Snyder, Dr. Keith Kenney and Dr. Elena Osokina, have been selected to participate in the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) Visiting Professors Program and will teach in the Czech Republic, Italy, and Germany.

Five USC Students Receive Scholarships to Study Abroad

Three students have been awarded the Carolina Global Study Scholarship (CGSS), a financial award of $1000, and two have received the Knight Award, worth $2000, to be used to help fund a semester, academic year, or semester equivalent summer study abroad experience.
